Filimkan Geedka Nolosha
waxa la sameeyay 1978. Waxana aynu ka dhex dheehan karnaa quruxda iyo
tiro-badnaanta kala duwanaanshaha noole ee ka jiray qaybta
Jubbooyinka carriga Soomaaliyeed. Ilaa xilligaas, dhul badan baa
dhirtii laga xaalufiyay, dhuxul loo rogay, loona dhoofshay dalalka
Carabta. Ku dhowaad ugaadh-dhii iyo habar dugaagga ka muuqda
filimkan waa ay dabar go’een. Waxa sidoo kale meesha ka baxay
arrimo badan oo dhaqan-dhaqaale oo uu ka mid yahay farshaxanka,
dharka, qaabkii Qur’aanka loo baran jiray iwm. Guryahii dhirta
laga samayn jiray (Mutul) waxa beddelay jiingad iyo qori la soo
dhoofso. Beryahaas hore, dadku waa dhergsanaayeen, carruurtu waa
faraxsanaayeen, shimbiruhu waa heesi jireen kala joogsi la’aan,
ugaadh kumannaan iyo kaakac ah oo ay ka mid yihiin Biciid, Maroodi,
Jeer, Dameer Farow, Deero iyo weliba shimbiro cayn wal iyo cod walba
leh ayaa si madax bannaan oo miisaaman dabiicadda ula noolaa.
Filimkani,
in kasta oo uusan lahayn hadal badan, haddana farriinta uu gudbinayaa
waa ka cod dheer yahay cid kasta iyo wax kasta. Farriinta uu
gudbinayaa waxa ay tahay raadka iyo cidhib-xumada DHIR-XAALUFINTA iyo
sida ay ugu dhammaato SAXAROW iyo LAMA-DEGAANNIMO.
Alas!
Since 1987, since this short feature was produced, a lot of change
has taken place in Somalia. Large batches of the forests has been
cut, kilned, transported and sold in the Arabian countries. Almost
all the wildlife species that can be seen in this film has been
decimated through poaching and hunting. Even the culture and
indigenous knowledge is lost: skills, handicraft, artifacts,
traditional religious instruction and so on so forth. The thatched
roofed huts are replaced with corrugated tin sheets due to scarcity
of local building materials. People looked well-fed, children we
happy (see their mud toys), birds sang unceasingly, the beasts and
wild life such the oryx, elephants, hippos, zebra, impalas, birds and
myriads of creatures lived in harmony with nature.
The
film, even though it is almost speechless, conveys eloquently an
important message of how DEFORESTATION leads to DESERTIFICATION with
its dire consequences of loss of livelihoods and heritages.
